Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Silverado we're going to be installing CURT's Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, Part Number C16411-204. This fifth wheel rail kit is custom designed to work with your Silverado. It's going to give you nine locations for many different types of fifth wheels. It will work with all of CURT's fifth wheels, and it will work with most modern fifth wheels of other manufacturers. You may have some issues with older fifth wheels from competitors prior to 2003.They're mounted above your bed on your truck and held in place by side brackets attached to the frame. When you're done using your fifth wheel you can take it off, and the rails will remain inside the bed giving you mostly full bed access.There's some minor drilling in the bed required and all the hardware you need to get installed comes included. more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at the B and W custom under bed installation kit for the B and W companion fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number BWGNRK1067-5W. Now this fifth wheel installation kit's designed to let you install your B and W companion fifth wheel trailer hitches. The adaptors are part number BWRVK3500 or part number BWRVK3400. The under bed design is going to allow full access to our truck bed but can very easily be converted over to a fifth wheel hitch in less than five minutes. We'll start off by unlocking our B and W hitch and installing our fifth wheel adaptor. We have ours preassembled but you can adjust the uprights here depending on your truck and trailer combination. At this point, we're ready to connect to our trailer. There's going to be a little clip that you'll release, basically it's a safety pin, then you swing the handle out. more

Husky 5th Wheel Base Rails Kit Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Husky custom base rails and installation kit for the fifth wheel hitches, part number is HT31852-686. Now here's what our rail kit's going to look like installed in the bed of the truck. These rails are designed to fit just about any standard fifth wheel out there on the market. We've got the smaller, the medium, and the wide set of connection points. Going to make it work out great. Of course with Husky fifth wheels but also the Curt, the Draw-Tite, the Reese, the Hidden Hitch, the Valley, they should all fit in here as long as it's just a standard style application. From the top of the bed's corrugation to the very top of our bolt, we're looking at about 2 inches, so this by no means is going to give you a perfectly flat, smooth bed but really there aren't a lot of fifth wheel rail systems out there that do. more

Reese Quick Install Base Rails Kit Installation - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
On this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to review and install Part Number RP56007-53. This is Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard installation kit for fifth-wheel trailer hitches. All right, this is what the kit looks like when it's installed in our truck. First off, you can see a long, flat plate that fits on the side of the frame. Now, there are variations in the frame of this truck, so it will accommodate all versions. Now, this does bolt on to the side of the frame using the existing hole here and the fasteners actually work as a clamp on this side of the bracket. This is the passenger's side and this is basically identical to over on our driver's side. Now, when we install this kit, the rails, of course, need holes in the bed of the truck to attach bolts through. On other designs, these bolts are actually towards the inside. more

Today, on this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado CrewCab, we're going to install part number BWGNRK1067-5W, custom under-bed installation kit for B&W Companion 5th-wheel trailer hitches. This installation kit can also be used for Gooseneck application as well. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and get our truck ready to install our hitch. First off, we're going to get rid of the spare tire. Of course, this will go back up when we're done. Typically next, you would loosen the exhaust right here, but simply all you would do is just go ahead and loosen off the hangers as far off as you can, and then, just let it hang down. It would be a good idea to use a strap of some sort to help support it while you do that. more

This Underbed Kit can be used with the Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by replacing the hitch ball with the 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch such as part number BWRVK3500. Now, we can go over operation of our new Gooseneck hitch and ball. To install our Gooseneck ball, well simply pull out on the hitch handle, rotating it towards the cab of the pickup to lock the pin out so we can then take the ball and drop it into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch. Then to release the handle, well simply rotate it towards the rear of the vehicle and the spring pressure will close the pin on the Gooseneck ball.Once were finished using our new Gooseneck ball, well simply pull the handle on the pin again, locking out the hitch pin, taking the ball out, turning it over, and putting it back down into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch and releasing the handle, locking the pin back in position and locking the ball in the stored position.To begin our install, well first go ahead and lower and remove the spare tire and remove both rear wheels. While its not a requirement, it will give us a lot more working room and make an easier install. more

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part number C16413-204. To start our installation we'll need to remove the rear wheels off the vehicle as well as the spare tire. Now we're going to go ahead and measure for the placement of our front rail. We'll go by the amount specified in the instructions and we'll start with distance into the bed. We'll then center the rail and mark the locations we need to drill for our pilot holes. Today on our 2011 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the B&W custom underbed install kit for B&W fifth-wheel companion trailer hitches, Part Number BWGNRK1012-5W. This install kit will include the B&W gooseneck hitch, which will install underbed, Part Number BWGNRK1012. We'll go ahead and go over operation of our new gooseneck hitch. With our gooseneck handle in the locked position, we'll need to unlock it to put our gooseneck ball in place. We'll pull the handle out, rotate the handle forward to hold it out in the unlocked position. Then, we'll go ahead and take our gooseneck ball, drop it in place, and relock the handle by pulling out on the handle, shifting it back towards the rear of the vehicle, and letting it go, and the spring will lock it into place. Go ahead and check the ball. Then, once you're finished using our gooseneck ball, we can turn it over and put it in the stored position by unlocking the handle, turning the ball over, and putting it back down into the gooseneck head. more

Reese Quick-Install Custom Fifth Wheel Base Rails Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevy Silverado. We'll be installing the Reese quick install custom base rails with the outpour install kit part number Rp56001-53. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and remove the rear wheels along with the spare tire. Next we'll take the rear base rail, set it in the bed of the truck measuring from the end of the bed. Note this will not be from the end of the tailgate, from the end of the bed to the rear edge of the base rail as per the instructions. Once we have that measured out, then we'll go ahead and make sure we have the base rail centered from side to side. Now at the rear base rail in position, we'll go ahead mark the five attachment points. more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the Reese quick-install custom base rails with install kit, part number RP50066-58. Note: We've already gone ahead and lowered or removed the spare tire and both rear wheels for easier access and installation. We'll go ahead and move to the bed with one of the base rails. Using our tape measure, and measuring from the end of bed and not the tailgate, we'll set our base rail into position. Then we'll check it from side to side to make sure we're even from side to side in the bed. Once we have it measured out as per the instructions, using a paint stick, we'll go ahead and mark the attachment holes. more

Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, well be installing part number RP50064-58, the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and 5th Wheel installation kit. Well start off in the bed of the truck where we can place our first rail according to the manufacturers specified measurements. We can then use the rail as a template to mark the four holes we will be drilling to secure it. With the rail out of the way, well go ahead and drill four pilot holes. Underneath the truck, we can then align our bracket with the pilot holes and clamp it into place. Back on top, well drill our holes out to their final size. more

It makes things a little easier, what we've done so far is go ahead and remove the wheels on the back axle. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the hitch shield that's underneath. We're going to remove a portion of the hitch shield. The portion we are going to remove will be starting from the shock tower on the passenger side. more

To make things a little bit easier to see and to install were going to go ahead and remove the spare tire, two tires on the back axle and were going to lower the exhaust out of the way too. Also, were going to remove the spare tire guard, as well. After that, we need to remove a major section of the heat shield. Well go ahead and do that first. Alright, today on this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, were going to install part number RP50066-58. To make our install easier to see and perform, what weve done so far is move the two back wheels. Weve also lowered the spare tire and the spare tire guard we removed as well, and we also removed the exhaust. Those are pieces you dont have to take down, but it does make things a little easier to do. If you can do it, it makes it a lot easier and you got a lot more room to work in. To our first step for install, well get in the bed of the truck and well add our first rail and well measure it according to instructions. more

Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 series long bed, we will be installing Reese custom base, rails, and brackets part number RP50066-58. Before we get started we want to lower the spare tire, and bring it down out of our way so we have more working room. With that removed we want to go into the bed and measure out and mark the rear rail. The measurements are provided in the installation instructions are going to be from the end of the bed, to the rear edge of the rear rail. Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2005 Chevrolet 3500- Video
Today on this 2005 Chevrolet 3500 we are going to install part number RP50064-58. This is Reeses fifth wheel rails and install kit. The first thing we need to do is get the truck ready to install the kit. The first thing we did was remove the spare tire so we can get underneath the vehicle and install the hardware. We will also lower the exhaust because above the exhaust there is a heat shield and we need to move the exhaust out of the way so that we can cut the heat shield out of the way. We will look at the passenger side frame rail of the vehicle and this is the heat shield that goes all the way across. We are actually going to remove two sections of this. We are going to remove this section here from this hat channel as far back as we can because right here is where we have to have wrench access to tighten down parts. The second section we are going to remove is on this side of the hat channel, there are two right in a row, so we are going to cut across here and we are going to go all the way to the next hat channel up here and go across as well. 00:57 more

Today on this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 series, 6 foot bed, we will be installing the Signature Series rails and brackets part number 30061. We are going to do a couple of things in preparation to installing our Signature Series rails and brackets. First, we will need to lower the spare tire out of the way, and next we will need to remove the heat shield over here on the passenger side. Today on this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Pickup we are going to install part number 50061-6008 from towing products. First thing we need to do is get the truck ready to install the 5 th wheel. Lower the spare tire, also in this case the vehicle has a factory brake controller which you need to take the sensor off the inside of the frame rail and get that out of the way so we can install the hardware. more
